Prompli - Craft / Logic Inc

Prompli is a web-based, data analytics and automation tool targeted at US-based public radio organizations. The application provides users with messaging and team management, data aggregation from donation sources, and a series of data analytics tools to help organization members better strategize fund drives and wording used in messaging during broadcasts.

Initialization

C/L is brought into Prompli in 2016 to apply data visualization upgrades to the system. During discovery it is found that the application architecture and coding practices exposed Prompli to critical security and performance problems.

Refactor

Prompli release candidate 3.0 is released. RC3 included a complete refactor of the Prompli codebase. Code architecture is upgraded to be object-oriented in an MVC framework (Laravel). Data aggregation from third-party data sources of RESTful APIs are integrated and a new Prompli was born.

2018

Communication

Web Sockets and application architecture are added to provide users the opportunity to communicate in real-time directly on the platform. Real-time data widgets and dashboard customization are also added as quality of life improvements to Prompli, increasing user engagement and subscription renewal rate.

2019

Automation

User testing and interviews reveal numerous operations within Prompli and within station organizations that are great candidates for software automation. Floating point algorithms are integrated into Prompli to allow for program planning and messaging strategy via bulk actions. These floating point functions reduce operational overhead by over 95% for members of organizations when planning drives and programs, further improving the overall quality of life of Prompli users.

2020-2021

COVID Response

Having an online workflow automation application becomes a mainstay for Prompli users. Increased focus on communications, team administration, access control, document management and other operational aspects are fine tuned during the pandemic. C/L continues with application scale and improving user experience throughout, providing Prompli a flexible, yet stable platform to increase application usage and improve engagement.

2022

Integrations

C/L and Prompli are currently working toward integrating additional third-party data sources to provide organizations with elevated business intelligence insights within the Prompli application. The goal is to provide prescriptive analytics from historical records that will help formulate programming, messaging, scheduling, and timing for broadcast components that will optimize fundraising performance and listener engagement.
